Terry Irwin to present at LCC seminar on doing business in Poland – October 2010

TCii Managing Director Terry Irwin is to speak at the London Chamber of Commerce’s forthcoming seminar on business opportunities in Poland. The five-hour event, entitled “PoLand of Business Opportunities”, will take place on Monday 18 October at the JazzCafe POSK (Polish Social and Cultural Association) in Hammersmith, London W6.

Poland has one of the fastest growing economies in Central Europe, and has made huge efforts to liberalise trade and adopt globally recognised legal and financial standards. Strategically located between Eastern and Western Europe, it offers easy access to 250 million consumers within a radius of 1,000 kilometres.

In his presentation, “Foreign Direct Investment into Poland by a British International Company”, Terry will describe how TCii helped a company to expand its business internationally by setting up operations in Poland. He will talk about the various criteria used to select the right country, and explain why TCii recommended Poland as the destination for the client’s new manufacturing facility.

The LCC event will cater for a broad cross-section of companies selling products – and particularly services – overseas. Key sectors represented are likely to include property and construction, education and training, information and communication technologies, healthcare, environment, creative industries, financial and legal services, and defence and security.

Other presentations on the day will include an introduction to the Polish market and its opportunities, the legal and commercial framework, and funding sources.

Attendees will include members of the British-Polish Chamber of Commerce and the British Polish Business Club, as well as members of the LCC.

Non-members are also welcome.
