Terry’s video link presentation from London on “Top tips for success when going international with your business” will be part of a session entitled “Matchmaking Across the Pond”, which the BCCTC is running in partnership with the Canada-United Kingdom Chamber of Commerce. This session will also feature speakers such as Mark Richardson, Trade Commissioner, the High Commission of Canada to the United Kingdom, and Cameron Branston, Commercial Officer, Alberta United Kingdom Office.

Other speakers during the day will include Howard Drake OBE, British High Commissioner to Canada; Nick Baird, Chief Executive of UK Trade and Investment, and Jim Feir, Director and Senior Trade Commissioner, Ontario Region, Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada, who will give the opening presentation, “Canada and the UK: Framing a Successful Partnership”.

The BCCTC, which was founded in 1951, is a private sector non-profit organisation whose mission is to promote the transatlantic business interests of its members. Through a Memorandum of Understanding, it maintains close ties with the Canada-United Kingdom Chamber of Commerce and other Chambers based in Britain. This agreement encourages meetings of key leaders in both the UK and Canada.

The conference will take place on Friday 11 October from 09:00 to 15:30 Toronto time, at the Ontario Investment and Trade Centre.
