Business Mentoring Programme
The Challenge of leadership
Running a growing business can be a very lonely job. However well you know your organisation, there are times when you wish you had another experienced and independent business person to talk to, just to provide that vital second opinion or to challenge your thinking.
Large companies are able to afford a professional board of directors who can share between each other their diverse skills, knowledge and experiences. The managing director or owner of a smaller business typically has no such luxury. Nor is adding a new board member likely to be a realistic option: a professional executive director can easily cost £100K per annum in salary alone.
How can we help?
Our Business Mentoring Programme helps level the playing field with larger businesses. You'll be appointed a business consultant and advisor who you can phone during normal business hours to discuss any issues that you may have, in any area of your business.
In addition, your advisor will allocate a number of days (typically two per month) for practical 'hands-on' time with you and your company, supporting you and helping you to make things happen. He can also access a large database of qualified partners and associates who can help with any specialist aspects of your business at a reduced rate.
What can you expect?
Your consultant:
- Will attend any board and management meetings that you wish, to ensure your company is adequately supported, focused and progressing to plan.
- Will co-ordinate and project manage the use of consulting time and 'hands-on' practical assistance from any of our professionals.
- Will find answers to any business queries you may have, accessing the extensive business resources of our database.
- Will be available on a local 'hot line' number, free of charge, to talk through whatever is on your mind or act as a sounding board for ideas.
In a nutshell, you will benefit from...
- Low cost access to a 'virtual board'
- Fixed monthly cost
- No employer costs (such as pension, holiday, sickness, NI)
- Telephone 'hotline' support to your advisor
- 192 hours (2 days per month, typically) of dedicated practical consulting time with your advisor
Our Business Mentoring Scheme is a long way from traditional consulting. It's about establishing an ongoing, hands-on relationship between the consultant and the client.
