Terry Irwin
Biography
Terry Irwin began work as a consultant after 20 years as a country and regional MD with one of Europe’s largest fast moving consumer goods organisations, based at various times in the UK, and as an expatriate in Germany, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Japan, China and the Russian Federation.
He has had a remarkable impact on the results of many well-known businesses during the past five years. He now specialises in enabling corporate change through strategy, people and processes and has an impressive reputation for helping people in both manufacturing and service industries to embrace change positively and successfully.
Through novel and participative presentations and workshops that engage head, heart and hand, his work nurtures and invigorates resourcefulness and learning.
Terry regularly speaks on conference platforms, delivers workshops and seminars and has mentored politicians, sportspeople and CEOs in the UK and internationally.
He has written over 100 white papers on “best business practice”, based on the consultancy work he and his colleagues have carried out with a broad range of both small and international corporate clients.
Terry considers himself to be a well-adjusted workaholic. He is, however, often sought after by tennis and squash players who like to win. Terry enjoys travelling to exotic countries, consulting on tough business issues, and going to the theatre. He is married and lives in London.

Andrew Blatiak
Biography
Andrew Blatiak has helped to bring over £200 million of foreign direct investment into the Central Eastern Europe region and with London Business School helped to establish Warsaw University of Technology Business school, now ranked first in the country and 25th in Europe.
Andrew has been an advisor to various central European governments on privatisation and teaches MBA and DBA at various business schools throughout Europe and Asia and also works with Henley Management College on corporate training. He has written over 100 articles, has chaired and spoken at many conferences in the UK and Europe.
Andrew is married with four children and is a keen tennis player.

Gen Ford
Biography
Gen established her first business, a niche recruiting service, after resigning her commission with the Australian Army in 1988, following almost six years of service. She ran this for two years before selling and moving into the corporate sector, filling a series of troubleshooting and change management roles with Melbourne Pathology, Mayne and Bonlac. In early 2001, she began working with a range of blue chip, corporate and government clients such as Carter Holt Harvey, CSL Pharmaceuticals, various NHS Trusts, Skanem AS and TNT to name a few.
In recent years Gen has been invited to speak at a range of events around the world—including Supply Chain World and Pharmatech (Sydney), Hospitalog Asia (Bangkok & Singapore), AHRMM’s Annual Conference (Anaheim), EHMA (Barcelona) and the GS1 Healthcare User Group meeting (Princeton).
In addition to these engagements Gen supervises Masters Thesis students, lectures post-graduate students at RMIT University and the Civil Aviation University of China and has just concluded writing a post-graduate course on holistic supply chain strategy and operations.
Gen’s interests outside of work include travel and photography.

Steve Ellis
Biography
Living and working in Asia for over 25 years, Steve has extensive experience in managing and leading in the Region.
Steve served as President of Loctite Corporation’s Asia/Pacific operations and, later as, Henkel KGAa’s Technologies division and has in-depth experience of building and growing organically as well as through M&A. Post merger integrations, talent management and leadership in a cross-cultural environment.
Having lived in Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo and Melbourne, Steve’s cross section of Asian experience offers an excellent resource for companies seeking advice on business and leadership issues, talent management, strategic business direction, performance management and organizational change. Steve also advises on political and economic risk in the region.
Steve regularly speaks on leadership and management issues at company events and meetings. He also occasionally speaks at CEIBS (Chinese International Business School) in Shanghai and Jilin University in Changchun. He holds a Master’s Degree in Asia Pacific Economic and Political Studies (Leeds University) and is an alumni of Columbia Business School, New York, INSEAD, Fontainbleau and IMD, Lausanne.

Duncan Bratt
Biography
Duncan took responsibility for Pioneer Concrete Holdings Plc in 1995 and turned it into the most profitable and safest ready mixed/quarrying company in the UK before Hanson took it over 5 years later. After which he took responsibility for the Swiss group Sika’s UK and Irish businesses, repositioning them to the growth in bonding of materials in DIY, builder’s merchants and industrial markets.
He has an unusually wide experience of customers, businesses and processes; an early adopter of lean production and a successful implementer of IT systems including SAP; he now uses his experience to help businesses improve their chances of success.
He started his career with one of the early BA Hons in Business Studies, and later, when a director, gained an MBA at Warwick University. He is a Fellow Chartered Institute of Marketing.
Duncan Bratt has been a student of business all his life. He has combined his practical role as a general manager with a strong interest in what the academics can offer. He has been running workshops and conferences for a number of years primarily as a way of changing the direction of the businesses in which he has been involved.
He considers business as his main hobby but also enjoys skiing, tennis and riding a Harley-Davidson.

Brian Ballard
Biography
Brian has over 30 years’ experience in sales, marketing and management in the electronics and computing industries, in Europe, USA, Hong Kong and Australia.
He has received many accolades for sales and marketing performances with Data General, Olivetti and MAI, including Salesman of the Year award from Data General.
In addition to formal training at Colleges, Brian sees his main education advantage from the “University of Hard Knocks” (Life and all its up’s and down’s) and has built his reputation around this.
The last 20 years have seen Brian working as a consultant and more recently as Mentor for growing business enterprises. He has also lectured with the Australian Institute of Management and lectures in business planning and key account management at TAFE SA, the largest provider of vocational education and training in South Australia. He also runs a successful small business offering mentoring, consultancy, and training in both offline and online marketing.
He has been a member of the Australian Marketing Institute for over 20 years, where he has served two years on the Council and is an Associate Fellow. He is also an Associate Member of the Australian Institute of Management.
He regularly presents workshops on Marketing, Sales and Networking to groups in Australia.
Brian has recently written a book introducing marketing to small business, titled “Marketing your Difference” it directs small businesses towards a solid marketing attitude to gain the best results. Currently only available in eBook form, he is anticipating it being in print quite soon.
Brian’s interest is seeing companies achieve marketing success and is keen to assist companies achieve this through either Consultancy or Mentoring.
Away from his work environment, he is a keen lawn bowler and has a medium size collection of Bonsai plants which teaches him patience. When time allows, Brian watches Test cricket and follows (from afar) Manchester City.

Henry Campbell-Jones
Biography
Having originally started to look for an engineering business to acquire, grow and sell after five years, Henry soon found that very few business vendors were prepared for the sale of their business, indeed they often did not know off hand how much money they were making. More often than not, their broker provided little assistance other than to arrange the meeting. Hence Henry saw the gap in the market for a pro-active broker with his connections and experience to help business owners achieve the sale and realize the value of their business.
Henry has worked with a selection of companies including IT support, billing software, graphic design and communications, as well as engineering and fabrication businesses, and has achieved a high success rate.
In addition to working on business sale and acquisition deals, Henry offers coaching and seminars to business owners on how to assess and maximise the value of their business and advises on exit strategy and how to achieve a successful sale.
He has over 14 years commercial and technical experience in the automotive product development and manufacturing industry. Having held several roles in sales and marketing and product management for a leading global automotive supplier, Henry is skilled in all aspects of business planning, product/service valuation, business development and marketing and is always prepared to roll his sleeves up to drive through change and achieve results.
He lives in London and is married with two young children. He enjoys tennis, skiing and windsurfing and plays the French horn.

Ian Munro
Biography
Ian has worked with boards of companies for over 30 years as operating board and main board director, as a non-executive director. He is active across a wide range of business sectors and the Public Sector.
Ian brings this experience to life in a speaker setting by discussing his experiences in a lively and informative manner. He believes that business critical issues need to be constantly addressed including;

John Fordham
Biography
John has extensive experience as a managing director and international sales and marketing manager with fast growth companies.
Sales and marketing achievements and experience have been gained with a number of companies including Crane Ltd, Metal Box Ltd and Autotype International.
John was (delete also) MD of fast growth Geka Manufacturing for 14 years, and has extensive success in the cosmetics packaging industry.
The experience of a range of companies and products has given John a wide understanding of marketing both industrial and consumer products in Business to Business, and Business to Consumer companies.
John has been a consultant for a number of years in business support, business projects, and executive coaching. He formerly sat on the Recognition Panel for Investors in People, is an approved mentor/coach with the DTI/SBS for the UK government grant schemes.

Biography
QJ during his youth was a chorister turned musician an engineer/producer and later MD of his own record label and studio. He then moved into the corporate world, as Managing Director of a media based training and communications agency for 15 years. Blue Chips included Mercedes Benz, Arthur Andersen, American Express and Eurotunnel.
His most recent career, as one of TCii’s speakers, brings together a lifetime’s achievement and experience with people from all walks of life. In public speaking and personal empowerment he excels.
He designs and delivers interactive and out-of-the-box learning events for SMEs, corporates and high-level teams.
His methods are unconventional, stimulating, challenging and fun. Jeremy Woolwich
Biography
Jeremy has worked as a brand and marketing consultant for the last 15 years working to create and manage both consumer and business-to-business brands.
Prior to that he had a marketing career on the client side with f.m.c.g marketing companies, in international advertising agencies as a Director of Planning & Research, and at specialist branding and corporate identity consultancies.
Jeremy has worked in the UK and internationally across a very wide range of industry sectors including the Not for Profit and Public Sectors, with such client blue chip clients as Mars Foods, Unilever, and PowerGen. He is also a consultant to Enterprise Ireland working with Irish businesses to export and grow in the UK.

Paul Lower
Biography
Paul has more than 20 years experience as Finance Director of global media, publishing and retail companies. He gained his board level experience in both high growth companies (in one case a business grown from £5m annual turnover and sold for £150m) and in other companies managing significant business change in key markets, supply chains and distribution networks.
In addition to his experience in global companies he has also worked as part-time FD and financial adviser to small and medium sized enterprises.

Andrew McMillan
Biography
Andrew started his career as a management trainee in the retail industry with the John Lewis Partnership in the UK. He moved up through the management ranks and led a number of selling teams in different branches culminating in their flagship Oxford Street branch.
From there he moved to the head office to take charge of the department stores' customer-centric Intelligence Team. In 2000 Andrew was asked to lead on customer service for the department store division with 20,000 customer-facing Partners in 26 John Lewis shops across the UK. That customer-driven culture is something that has now became synonymous with the John Lewis brand.
Andrew has advised many other organisations on their customer service strategy and has become recognised as an expert in the field. He has spoken on the subject at conferences worldwide and has had many articles published in specialist publications and the national press.
More recently, much of Andrew's work has been in the public sector and he has helped a number of UK local authorities develop their strategy to deliver a distinct and differentiated customer experience.
Andrew is married with three children and spends his spare time mountain biking and playing the drums.

Paul specialises in online marketing including web sites and social media.
He managed the web site and social media for a cross section of large and small organisations and has written several marketing books.
Paul’s conference speeches, workshops and seminars are highly engaging, entertaining and carefully structured to embed key changes.

Michael Dodd
Biography
Michael Dodd is an international speaker, communications consultant and broadcast journalist who helps leaders to get their message across through the media and face to face.
He teaches communication and media response skills to business people, diplomats and senior civil servants from all government departments through Britain's National School of Government and organisations such as the Academy for Chief Executives and UK Trade and Investment.
His expertise as a communications speaker is founded on his work as a UK-based media commentator and freelance foreign correspondent.
Michael is best known among British audiences for his live paper reviews on Sky News, which he has being doing for the past 12 years.
Michael has been Berlin Correspondent for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), and has reported on stories in most major European countries and in America. He covered Eastern Europe before, during and after the 1989 revolutions for the ABC and for the BBC World Service.
He has worked as a political correspondent in the Australian capital, Canberra, for national and international current affairs programmes. This helped to develop his "blowtorch on the belly" style of interviewing, which can be useful for pressure-testing participants in masterclass exercises.
Over the past six years Michael has run masterclasses in Beijing, Rio de Janeiro, Singapore, Dubai, Lisbon, St Petersburg, Tokyo, Helsinki, Budapest, Prague, Abu Dhabi, Madrid, Frankfurt, Geneva, Brussels and Paris.
Michael has been lecturing in broadcast journalism over the past 12 years. He teaches postgraduate students at the University of Westminster.
He was a judge for the 2009 Royal Television Society Journalism Awards and is on the judging panel again in 2010.
